Introduction
The Citizen Report Ltd is seeking for services of certified auditors to conduct an external institutional audit of its financial statements and submit a report for the period July 2023 to June 2024.
About The Citizen Report Limited :
The Citizen Report Ltd (TCR) was born in 2021 to make civics education widely accessible for mostly young citizenry of Uganda and to foster civic engagement through fun, easily consumable and informative content.
Objectives and Scope of Contract:
The purpose of the audit is to examine the financial statements in ZOHO BOOKS Accounting System presented by the finance team and then present reports. The auditors will have the statutory responsibility to report as to whether in their opinion the financial statements are free from material misstatements and have been properly prepared in accordance with the standard financial management practices.
The audit scope:
– The scope of the assignment covers the periods; July 2023 to June 2024.
– The design, implementation and maintaining of internal control relevant to the preparation and fair presentation of financial statements that are free from material misstatement, whether due to fraud or error.
-The organization’s selection and application of appropriate accounting policies and making accounting estimates that are reasonable in the circumstances.
-Expression of an opinion on the financial statements based on the audit.
-Presentation of the Audited Financial Statements to the Management team on dates that shall be communicated in due course.
Timing:
The audit is via ZOHO BOOKS Accounting System. A detailed timeframe and schedule will be agreed upon between the Auditor and TCR before commencement of the Audit process.
Application:
Proposal for the tasks included in this Terms of Reference for Project Audits shall include the followings:
1) Technical proposal, which shall include:
- Understanding of the tasks:
-Proposed approach and methodology to complete the task;
-Proposed timeframe.
- Annexes
– Curricula vitae of the proposed team;
– Relevant reference projects from previous successful mandates.
2) Financial proposal
- Cost of audit report (including Management Letter) for projects
- Any additional costs to be considered in relation to the performance of the tasks.
The application proposal should be sent to before 5:00 PM – 19th July 2024.
The deadline for a complete application is 19th July 2024.
