Amuria
Amuria District is part of the Teso sub region in the Eastern region of Uganda. and is bordered by Otuke District to the North, Napak District to the Northeast, Katakwi District to the East, Soroti District to the South, Kaberamaido District to the South west and Alebtong District to the West.
The Iteso people predominantly populate Amuria district. The Population size is 270,928 and the most spoken language is Ateso.
The people carry out subsistence farming and animal husbandry. Over 90 percent of the population engage in either or both activities. Crops grown include rice, cassava, peanuts, corn, millet and sorghum.
